MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – November has been declared the month of hunting tourism in Belarus, Director of Belarus’ National Tourism Agency Dmitry Morozov said at a press conference,
BelTA has learned.
Dmitry Morozov noted that hunting tourism occupies an important niche in the country's inbound and domestic tourism. “Although it is not as massive as health resort tourism, still this type of tourism attracts a very interesting demographic, particularly among inbound tourists. The majority of visitors are from the Russian Federation. There are also tourists from Arab countries and citizens of the People's Republic of China who show interest in hunting tourism in Belarus," Dmitry Morozov said.
Belarus collaborates with various countries, and it is precisely the riches of the Belarusian forests that hold great interest for them. Here, one can encounter diverse fauna combined with a high level of service and hunting organization, which are renowned not only within the country but also far beyond its borders, Dmitry Morozov noted. “Hunting is a niche tourism that has been attracting guests from different countries for many years,” he emphasized.
The country offers a wide choice of accommodation options: from premium hunting lodges to budget-friendly houses for hunters. The belarus.travel website has the Hunting Tourism section featuring establishments that are engaged in this type of tourism and that offer accommodation services. “We invite hunting estates to cooperation. If any establishment is not yet listed on belarus.travel, we will be happy to include them so they can welcome tourists interested in Belarusian nature and hunting. Information about all interesting events related to hunting tourism will be regularly published on our resources: our websites, social media, and the Telegram channel Poznay.Belarus,” the agency director said.
The upcoming events include an excursion to the safari park in Myadel District in the Narochansky National Park on 19 November. All details are available on the belarus.travel website and on the page of the Myadel District Tourist Information Center. The excursion will start from the Myadel Hotel at 9:30 in the morning.
Mogilev Oblast will host a workshop on the development of hunting tourism, organized by the Sport and Tourism Department and the Mogilev Tourist Information Center. On 5 November, an open doors day will take place at the Rosokhi hunting complex in Logoisk District, featuring an introductory tour.
