Belarus, China discuss cooperation in geological exploration

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) - The ministers of environmental protection ministries of Belarus and China met in China to discuss the development of cooperation in geological exploration, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

As part of the first day of the visit of the Belarusian delegation to China, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Khudyk met with Minister of Natural Resources of China Wang Guanghua. The talks between the two ministers were held in Beijing ahead of the Eurasian Economic Congress 2023.

“The ministers discussed the development of cooperation in geological exploration, exchange of experience and best technologies in the extraction of minerals, including those detected in difficult mining and geological conditions. The parties discussed issues related to deep processing of raw materials (enrichment) in order to expand the use of minerals,” the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection said.

Attention was also paid to cooperation in the restoration of inefficiently drained peatlands.
